I have used the Interfone solution for longer periods with good results.  I frequently travel in Asia and have lots of suppliers there.

Now I do not need to look for a Wifi conncetion, or whether or not the receiver is on xyz platform, I just call. Directly from my Mobile via my contacts.

And I save heaps of money! I only have positive things to say about the Interfone roaming killer.
